By purchasing a Southern Cross Pet Insurance (SCPI) PetCare or AcciPet policy during the Promotional Period you are automatically entered into the SCPI ‘Sign up for a new PetCare or AcciPet policy and go into the draw to win 1 of 150 bags of Black Hawk pet food’ prize draw (“Prize Draw”) and your Eligible Entry constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
- The promotional period is 5 February to 26 February 2025 (“Promotional Period”).
- To enter the Prize Draw you must apply and be accepted for a new SCPI PetCare or AcciPet policy during the Promotional Period, with a policy start date prior to 2 March 2025 (“Eligible Entry”). FreeCover and renewals of existing policies are not eligible for this Prize Draw.
- There are 150 prizes to be won, each prize comprises one (1) bag of Black Hawk pet food. The winner can choose from; Black Hawk Puppy Small and Medium 3kg (Lamb/Rice), Puppy Small, Medium or Large 3kg (Chicken/Rice), Adult (Fish & Potato, Lamb & Rice or Chicken & Rice), Small Breed 3kg (Lamb & Rice), Mature 3kg (Chicken & Rice or Lamb & Rice), Original Kitten 2kg (Chicken), Original Cat 2kg (Chicken, Ocean Fish or Chick/Kangaroo), Healthy Benefits Cat Indoor 2kg (Chicken) or Cat Hairball 2kg (Chicken) or Cat Weight 2kg (Chicken).
- Petdirect is the supplier of the prizes and has valued each prize at between $43.99 and $57.99 (RRP). Each prize will be shipped to each prize winner at no cost to them (New Zealand only).
- Each prize winner will be contacted by SCPI and given a unique promo code via email to be used at online checkout at petdirect.co.nz to redeem their prize.
- Each prize winner will need to set up an account with Petdirect to redeem their prize.
- Each unique promo code will be valid for 30 days from when it is emailed to the prize winner.
- Prize winners will not be entitled to any cash from SCPI or any other party should there be a difference between the estimated RRP value of each prize referred to above and the actual value of the pet food supplied by Petdirect.
- The Prize Draw will take place on 5 March 2025. Prize winners will be drawn at random from the Eligible Entries and the prize winners will be notified by email.
- The administrator of the Prize Draw is SCPI but the prizes will be supplied by Petdirect.
- SCPI’s decision is final.
- To the extent permitted by law SCPI makes no warranty or guarantee in relation to the prizes. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit or exclude any liability under the Consumer Guarantee Act 1993 or any other statutory rights that any prize winner may have in relation to the prizes.
- Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, SCPI (and its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, damage or injury arising in any way in connection with the Prize Draw or acceptance or use of any prize.
- Each prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash. SCPI may substitute any prize or any portion of a prize with an alternative prize of equivalent value without notice.
- Staff, contractors or agents of SCPI and other Southern Cross branded businesses and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win the Prize Draw.
- SCPI may use any personal information collected during the Prize Draw to administer the Prize Draw.
- Personal information collected in relation to the Prize Draw will be held by SCPI, Level 1, Te Kupenga, 155 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010. Subjects of personal information have the right to access and request correction of any personal information held about them in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
